Simple Bolognese
This sneaky bolognese sauce is super easy and helps get in a few extra veggies!

Did you know… Celery lowers cholesterol levels and arthritis pain, helps in weight loss, detoxifies the body, reduces high blood pressure, and promotes overall health in a vast number of ways. It is rich in vitamin C and hence extremely beneficial.

Note: This recipe calls for a spiralizer. If you don’t have one you can thinly slice the zucchini lengthwise to achieve a similar result.

Pairs well with a side salad.

How to Make:

  1. Spiralize the zucchini, toss with a splash of olive oil and set aside. Boil the gluten-free noodles {if using}.
  2. Using a large skillet, warm the avocado oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic, celery and carrot, and sauté until the onions become translucent - about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef and begin stirring, breaking apart any large clumps. Continue cooking until browned - about 7-10 more minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, add the sauce and Italian herbs, then stir to combine; the Bolognese is ready when it’s heated throughout. Season with sea salt and pepper, and serve over the raw zoodles or gluten-free noodles.
  5. Garnish with fresh sliced basil.
